Weekly Report April 19-23rd
Another spring week gone too fast! We have had a productive week in school and activities.
History had us in France for the revolution and then rise of Napoleon. Then we also read about South America and their revolutions and heros. We finished reading The Twenty One Balloons which was great fun. Math has been moving at a good pace. We are going to keep going at one lesson per day and when we finish, we finish. We also do some Miquon daily so the idea of doubling up to ‘finish’ was ridiculous. We will be testing in May and both will do quite fine. We added in some grammar review this week with capitalization. Next week will be punctuation. We learned about simple machines in physics. We played Ultimate Frisbee in our P.E. group. We have had two playdates this week as well.
The kids have been practicing their music all week and they have quite a song list now!
Our garden has already given us radishes and some spinach. We will be thinning out some items this weekend and planting marigolds that never came up from seed. With the rain coming I do not think we will get out on the water to kayak. Have a wonderful weekend!
