It’s Sonlight catalog time and I wanted to share why we love Sonlight so much.

It is a literature based homeschool curriculum.  The “core” is the History/Geography/Read Alouds.  Bible can be added on to this as well as Readers.  They also offer Language Arts, Math from 5 different companies, Science and electives!

We have used their History “Core” the past 2 years and will be ordering again for next year.  My children love to sit and listen to the stories and then we discuss them.  They enjoy learning about culture and history and how it all relates.  It is so wonderful to see the dots coming together for them.  We will be trying out their Science next year and hope to be able to report good things.  We also use the Readers.  I like my children having quality books to choose from for their reading as well as questions to check their comprehension of the material.  My children also read freely anything they want from the library.  They prefer classics

I realized this past week we will be using all our materials from Sonlight except Language Arts which is put together piece by piece every year so the kids get what they need in a format they enjoy.  The catalog alone is a wonderful resource for reading lists.
